The Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club is the newly renovated golf course in what is commonly referred to as the Bedugul area of the centre of Bali and is one of the most beautiful areas in the whole island of Bali and overlooks the entire island with the famous lakes and mountains framing the scene. This area has been a largely unchanged area for many years and is surrounded by all kinds of classic Indonesian scenery such as the mountains, lakes, rice paddies, tropical woodlands and with incredible views of the entire island. The Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club Golf Course is located within the centre of a Volcano and has been voted one of the 5 best golf courses in Asia by the American magazine polls and is certainly the best course in Indonesia. From the Ngurah Rai International Airport the drive is around 120 minutes which is the standard time from most areas of South Bali other than around Tabanan or Ubud where it is about an hour drive.

The golf course is par 72 is 6983 yards long and is designed by Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge. The grasses vary across the course with creeping bent grass on the greens, Kakuyu mixed with local grass on the fairways with natural ranges over panoramic views of the surrounding forests and the lake Buyan. The golf course at the Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club is designed to be challenging even for the worlds best golfers although it fun and possible to negotiate for all levels of golf besides the complete beginner.

Facilities at the Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club Golf Course include gold lessons from 4 of the resident pro golfers holding Indonesian and Japanese PGA pro licenses and are fluent in English and Japanese. The Pro Shop provides a full range of Golfing equipment including hardware and clothing as well as all accessories. There are Indonesian brands available as well as the highly acclaimed international products. The half way house is provided at holes 6 and 16 in and out and provides beers, soft drinks and a range of tropical and conventional cocktails and sheltered air conditioned seating with an excellent view of the course and the landscape behind. There is a locker room with many amenities such as hair dryers and toiletries as well as a Japanese traditional Bath and sauna. Golf carts are available with two seats and a small mini bar for refreshments around the course although they are best ordered before the day, especially if you are visiting within the rainy season. Other essential items that are also available are golf shoes with rubber spikes and rental clubs for both men and women although they are only available for right-handed play.

There is also traditional cottage style accommodation including cottages and suites of staggered grading all of which is the best accommodation in the area by a very long way and extremely comfortable with luxury facilities.
